Dr. Melissa Walls’ President’s Frontier Award address on October 24, 2023

On October 24th, Dr. Melissa Walls gave the 2023 President's Frontier Award Lecture. The presentation included remarks from Ray Jayawardhana, Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, introductions from Ellen MacKenzie, Dean, Bloomberg School of Public Health and Q&A led by Denis Wirtz, Vice Provost for Research.
The President's Frontier Award honors one JHU scientist a year from multiple divisions of the University for demonstrating significant scholarly achievement and showing exceptional promise for future work. Dr. Walls received a $250,000 prize to further her research goals at the Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health - Great Lakes Hub.
